"Woolton Hill Village Market goes from strength to strength, having been launched just over two years ago" said Sir George on a recent visit.

"It is a pleasure to stock up with local produce, such as that from Parsonage Farm in Upton. There are always good supplies of fresh vegetables, eggs and bread, and I was interested to hear that the village market plans to be a showcase for local entrepreneur providing a wider range of non-food products".

The village market takes place on the last Saturday of each month in Woolton Hill Village Hall and provides a convenient outlet for local producers to sell their produce, and a convenient place for local people to buy good value food without having to travel to Newbury.

"I was interested to hear that Woolton Village is interested in collaborating with Headley Village Community Shop, which I recently opened, and that they might bring some local Hampshire produce to Woolton Hill and promote the shop".
