The Christmas Lights were switched on in Tadley by the cast of Peter Pan, appearing at the Anvil in Basingstoke. Ben-Ryan Davies (Peter Pan), Gary Turner (Captain Hook) and Pete Hillier (Cheebies' Boogie Beebies)came to the Ambrose Allen Centre in Tadley, signed programmes for the pantomime, and then switched on the lights with Cllr David Leeks, Mayor of Basingstoke and Deane and Jo Slimen from Tadley Town Council.

Before the switching on, carols were sung, with music supplied by Tadley band. "This marks the beginning of the Christmas Season, and it was a pleasure to go to the Ambrose Allen Centre and see all the stalls selling Christmas gifts, as well as Charity stalls also selling gifts and holding raffles and tombolas".

Otehr attractions were a merry-go-round and a Santa's grotto for children, and there was also a stilt walker and a juggler for entertainment.
