“I went to the Farmer’s Market on Sunday, believing that this would be the last time it took place in Andover. I was delighted to be told that Test Valley Borough Council have decided to support it for the time being, and I very much hope this means it will remain an important fixture in the town”
The Farmer's Market started about 10 years ago, with support from Hampshire County Council, and has provided an outlet for local farmers and other food producers.
“There have always been some good quality meat products available at the market, with a range of fruit and vegetables in season, to go with bread, fish, plants and jam and honey. I very much hope that people in Andover and the surrounding villages will support the market in the new year, and encourage a wider range of producers to come along and sell their goods."
