The annual ‘Light up a Life’ Christmas Carol service was held outside the Countess of Brecknock Hospice, where the service was led by the Rev Derek Overfield. Volunteers, relatives and patients were welcomed by Dame Mary Fagan, the Lord-Lieutenant of Hampshire, who has lead fundraising for the hospice, over the past 15 years. Clara Sanjar read ‘The Angel Lady’ by Bob Lazzar-Attwood, and Linsey Marsh sang two songs. Afterwards, refreshments were available in a marquee or the hospice green room and the music was provided by Test Valley Brass.

“This was, as always, a well supported and enjoyable service, reminding everyone how important the Countess of Brecknock Hospice is to the local community.”
