The Chairman of the Speaker's Advisory Committee on Works of Art, Frank Doran MP, invited MPs and friends of Margaret Beckett to the unveiling of a portrait of her by Antony Williams. "Margaret Beckett was Leader of the House when I was Shadow Leader, and I have now followed in her footsteps as Leader. It was good to attend this reception to celebrate the completion of her portrait which will, initially, hang in the Attlee Suite in Portcullis House. Frank Doran was kind enough to ask MPs in the last parliament who lost their seats, and it was good to catch up on their news.
