This year's production by the Steventon Players was entitled 'Sounds likes the Sixties', and ran for two nights at Steventon Village Hall.
"The Steventon Players generously made a donation from these performances to the Basingstoke Citizens Advice Bureau - and I know that Basingstoke CAB will be very grateful to the Players for their generosity".
Under the inspired leadership of Paul and Marilyn Wright, the Steventon Players and the Steventon Singers put on a series of sketches relating to the Sixties, interspersed with some of the popular songs from that decade. "As always, Steventon Village Hall was packed for these popular performances, and it brought back many happy memories of the Sixties, spiced with some trenchant topical humour".
There was a guest appearance from the recently retired rector, Michael Kenning, who played music by Richard Rodney Bennett.
