The 8th Oyster Fair was held at The Fox, North Waltham, and for the first time was dogged by bad weather. "Nonetheless, all the performers turned up, apart from the Pipers, who would have had difficulty with all the rain." Sir George enjoyed an oyster from Sue and Duncan Lucas, who organised the event alongside Rob Mackenzie, the landlord of The Fox.
There were a variety of local stalls raising funds for the Church and the School, and despite the weather, the event was well attended.
