The well known organist Dirkjan Ranzijn came to the Chantry Centre in Andover on Saturday, to play on his bohm organ to help raise funds for Andover Young Carers.

"Many thanks for Terry Trevett for organising this event, which both raised funds for AYC, but also raised the profile of the Weyhill Electronic Organ Society. Terry started this some 10 years ago, and it has gone from strength to strength with a programme of exciting electronic organ players from all over the world".

With Sir George at the opening was Zilliah Brooks, who was Mayor of Test Valley when the idea was first made, and the current mayor, Dorothy Baverstock.

"I very much enjoyed listening to some songs from the Fifties, and it was good to see a generous response from shoppers in the Chantry Centre to the collecting boxes for AYC. I think it is great that we can hold events such as these in the Chantry Centre, which gives atmosphere to the place on a Saturday"
