Kip McGrath had a grand opening for its new premises in Andover. Kip McGrath is a franchise, offering additional support to school children between the age of six and fifteen. Since it opened in Andover, some 30 children have joined, and the sessions continue to grow.

"Bas and Emma Brown, who both have teaching backgrounds, have invested in this project, which offers extra tuition in maths and english. Some of those who attend are taking exams for entry into schools in Wiltshire, while others need extra help to compliment the education they get in main-stream schools in the town. Most of the children attend one session a week, lasting about an hour, and their progress is monitored by the special programme which has been designed by Kip McGrath. Bas and Emma Brown hope to grow the centre to 150 students per week, and found a lot of interest from parents of local children who need extra help at school or exam time." Sir George welcomed the project to Andover, and then, with the help of some children, cut the cake.
