St Mary Bourne held its annual Flower Show and Fete on the recreation ground, with music provided by the Test Valley Brass Youth Band. "This well supported Flower Show and Fete had a good turn out, with the traditional entertainment for St Mary Bourne, in particular the scarecrow and children's fancy dress competition, and of course the tortoise race. The theme of this year's children's fancy dress competition was the Olympics, and the show ended with an auction in the marquee conducted by Peter Corbett. Last year, the horticultural society committee donated £300 to local causes from the proceeds from the flower show. Beneficiaries included Andover Young Carers, the St Mary Bourne Village Shop, St Peter's Church PCC and the Countess of Brecknock Hospice."
