After the weekly Advice Bureau in Andover, the local MP and the councillors on duty went to meet Milo, whom they had see from the windows in the Guild Hall.

Milo is a Border Collie, who works in Search & Rescue. Milo was with Ian Crowe, who runs Operational Support and Joe Earley who is a Dog Handler. They are both volunteers who work with Lowland Search Dogs Southern, who in turn work closely with the police and other emergency services to search for survivors after accidents.

"As this is a voluntary organisation, and a registered charity, they need funds. Joe told me that Andover had responded generously to the fund raising activity - and they had also raised the profile of Search and Rescue."

With Sir George were County Councillor Pat West and Test Valley Borough Councillor Karen Hamilton
