One weeks activity for children attending Knights Enham Junior School, and Roman Way and Endeavour Primary Schools started on Monday, and was launched by the Mayor of Test Valley, Councillor Dorothy Baverstock, the local MP Sir George young and Jon Stannah. “It was very generous of Stannah to sponsor this week’s activity, enabling local children to take part in organised sporting activity based at Knights Enham Junior School” Also at the launch was the Head Teacher of the Federation of the three schools, Anne Hughes and the head of school at Knights Enham, Gareth Hughes. The activities included football, javelin throwing, frisbee throwing as well as indoor activity for when the weather made outdoor activity impractical. “I’m very grateful to the volunteers from Stannah and from the schools for the time they have given, and to Cathy Devereux of Lions in the Community who have helped facilitate the week and ensure that the activities run on time.
