St Mary Bourne consults on future of village
16 Nov 2012
In April this year, St Mary Bourne held the first consultation on the Plan for the Parish for the next 15 years, up to 2027. Since then, the Long Term Planning Group, headed by Andrew Shigog, has been working hard taking on the views that were expressed and looking at the issues that might need to be addressed by the village. There has also been a roving exhibition of the work of the group, which has been working its way round the pubs, the church and the school.

The first draft of the plan is now taking shape, and it was put on display at St Mary Bourne Village Hall on November 16th. "St Mary Bourne is a very resourceful village, and I commend it for looking ahead, finding out what changes villagers would welcome, and then feeding the results into the planning process. It was good to see their local councillor, Horace Mitchell, at the exhibition which was very well attended.

I commend Katie Dixon and Andrew Shigog for their intiative and hard work in taking forward this exhibition."
