The fete season in North West Hampshire started with the May Fair in Hurstbourne Priors, and the 2013 May Fayre in Upper Clatford and Anna Valley. Both Fayres are traditionally on the May Bank Holiday Monday.

Proceeds from the Fair at Hurstbourne Priors go to St Andrews Church, the village hall and the recreation ground, and amongst the attractions was a juggler, zumba dancing, maypole dancing and a circus workshop.

The May Fayre at Upper Clatford and Anna Valley, held in the Balksbury Bridge Playing Field also raises funds for local organisations, some £3,000 being raised last year.

Attractions included a raft race, a fancy dress competition and a dancing display, together with the traditional attractions of a burger stall and a beer tent. The theme of the fete was superheroes.
