Little London held a fete at Smannell School, to raise funds for the village playing fields.

“There is no power to the playing fields at the moment which means they need a generator whenever they hold a function there that needs power. The funds from the village fete will go towards bringing power to the playing fields, as well as helping fund much needed equipment for the children”.

Sir George was invited to judge the cake competition, along with local resident, Rod Bowker, former County Councillor Pam Mutton and Calli of Calli’s Cakes.

“Fortunately, Calli knows what she was doing as she makes cakes for a living, and we were guided by her professional judgement”.
Overall winner was Tanya Hampton, pictured with Sir George.
