The Coronation Arms in St Mary Bourne was reopened by the Peart family, and Sir George went along to pull a celebratory pint. “It is great news that a village pub is reopening, instead of closing. Full marks to the Peart family for taking over the Coronation Arms, which I remember well from when we lived in St Mary Bourne".

The pub will be run by Tom Peart, son of Julia and David, who is a qualified chef and who will recommence meals in the pub next week.

Sir George was invited to the opening by Philip Winchcombe, a nearby resident in St Mary Bourne, who is a good friend of the Peart family.
