Jane Walsh led a team of volunteers to raise funds for Help for Heroes at Tesco in River Way. Sheryl Scott-Clark, the community champion for Tesco welcomed the initiative as part of the store's campaign to support local voluntary organisations, and Jane Cook, the service manager, helped organise the Foyer for a display. “I was struck by the generosity of customers as they left the store, putting money in the buckets, buying goods, and entering the competition to guess the names of the teddy bears. This charity has strong local roots and, even after our troops have left Afghanistan, there will still be a need to support the treatment of those who have been wounded in action."
