The second Andover Employee of the Year event was held at Fifehead Manor, with the four finalists appearing with the Mayor, Mayoress, Sir George and Janice Beaven, who started the event last year. Back by local sponsors, the scheme recognises employees in Andover whose contributions are exceptional, and is designed to encourage local employers to reward hard-working staff.
Speaking at the event, Sir George said that the labour market in Andover was very tight, and employers needed to do more to retain and motivate their staff.
