The Andover branch of RDA (Riding for the Disabled Association) was established in 1972, and one of its fundraising events is the annual Daffodil Day held at the home of Elizabeth Maclay, who is its chairman.

The object of the association is to provide disabled people with the opportunity to ride, to benefit their health and wellbeing.

"This is a very popular and well run local charity, that reaches out to those with a disability, and, in particular, to some of the local schools that support children with special needs. As always, the Daffodil Day was a popular event, though the weather may have deterred one or two people from coming".
