Ecchinswell held a May Fayre in the grounds of the Royal Oak, raising funds for St Michael's Hospice in Basingstoke and for the Air Ambulance. "Many congratulations to Alex and Sam Keyse, for masterminding this event, and also many thanks to Laura and Chris at the Royal Oak for hosting it and making many of the arrangements." There was a wide variety of activity at the event, including a craft marquee, a barbecue, a Punch and Judy show, a tug of war and football.

During the week, villagers were encouraged to put a beast on display outside their home and these were judged at the end of the week, with the beasts being on display at the Royal Oak.

"I very much hope this can become an annual event, and the organisers did fantastically well to get so many people to support the Fayre. They were blessed with good weather and a £2,500 was raised for the two popular local charities".
