Project Workshops, based at Lains Farm in Quarley, held an Open Studios weekend on May 17 and 18th. This provided a showcase for artists based in the studios, including Amy Goodman and Vivi Mallock.

Amy Goodman was commissioned to create the Warhorse Sculpture which will stand in the War Memorial Park in Romsey. In World War 1 there was a massive Remount Camp on Pauncefoot Hill just outside Romsey, which prepared 120,000 horses and mules for war service. After the war, the Remount Camp was completely demolished, but hardcore from the Camp was used to raise the ground level of the new War Memorial Park, where the Warhorse Sculpture will be located.

Vivi Mallock, based in Thruxton, is working on a number of commissions and is pictured with her owl.
