Veterans in Action is challenging local people to ride 1 mile for every soldier killed during World War 1. The challenge started in Andover, with the first mile ridden on a static bicycle by Sir George Young (who had bicycled four miles from his home in Penton Mewsey).

They hope this ambitious challenge will be completed by November 11th 1918, just 2 minutes before the Centenary of the Armistice.

The funds will raise money and awareness about Post Traumatic Stress Disorder, which is said to affect 1 in every 6 soldiers returning home after the recent conflict in Afghanistan.
