A Pop Up Exhibition is on display at 91 High Street, from 4th February until 11th February. Entitled 'Dementia Friendly Hampshire: the story so far', the Pop Up Exhibition tells the story of how Hampshire is leading the way in becoming a dementia friendly community.

"I was delighted to hear how many shops are displaying the dementia friendly emblem in their windows, indicating that their staff will be supportive to those who suffer from dementia."

Those visiting the exhibition were invited to place a special tag on the tree, to demonstrate support for local people with dementia.

"I would like to congratulate Andover MIND, Hampshire County Council and the local Clinical Commissioning Groups on backing this initiative, which is placing Hampshire at the forefront of best practice. This means that there are not just dementia friendly high streets and shops, but transport providers, leisure facilities and charities, who have pledged to help those with the condition to live well and to live independently."

The number of people living with dementia in Hampshire is set to rise by 30%.
