Sir George welcomes South West Trains' announcement on parking for Andover
25 Mar 2015
South West Trains have announced a new £50 million package of benefits for South West Trains passengers, which includes additional parking spaces at Andover by the end of January next year.
“I have been campaigning on this for many years, and I am delighted to see that, in the week of my retirement as an MP, this announcement has been made. Many people would like to travel by train from Andover to Waterloo, but find they are unable to do so without either parking a long way away from the station, or having to drive somewhere else to find a parking space – or driving the whole way. I welcome this decision, together with other decisions to increase the frequency of trains on Sundays, and increasing the capacity on other routes out of Waterloo”.
