Kingsclere Branch of North West Hants Conservatives met at Freemantle Park Farm for their Autumn Lunch. This was at the kind invitation of Keith and Mary Brown, and the event was held in one of their farm buildings containing a collection of agriclutural implements. Sir George is with Keith Brown.
"The collection is a fascinating reminder of our agricultural heritage, and of the ingenuity of our ancestors in making instruments for every known task.
We often forget how crucial agriculture was for the country's very survival"
Speaking at the lunch, Sir George said that attempts by the Labour Government to stop Europe becoming an issue at the next General Election were doomed to failure. "We know they don't want Europe to feature at the next Election - but it will. Not just because we want it to be because we know that our view is more popular than theirs; but because the electorate will want to know where the parties stand on this crucial issue."
