Sir George accepts a Laverstoke and Freefolk Millennium Mug from Alice Harley, after planting a Millennium oak at Laverstoke. David Ellis, Chairman of the Laverstoke and Millennium Green Trust looks on.

Letter from Phil Nicklin, Secretary of the Trust
"Further to your last visit to Laverstoke we are pleased to inform you that we have at last finalised the purchase of the land for the Millennium Green and have started the implementation works!
This entails the creation of new pathways for easier access around the site, works to the trees to improve the visibility through the site, new fencing for safety and definition of the various areas and the creation of a new fun trail for the children.
As part of the Countryside Agency requirements we have to plant a Millennium Tree which in our case will be an English Oak.
As you were instrumental in finalising the purchase of the land, we would like you perform the official tree planting ceremony".
