"Many congratulations to Richard Borrett on being one of the National Reading Campaign Champions"

The National Reading Campaign is run by the National Literacy Trust and has chosen Reading Champions as its theme this autumn, the idea being to promote the
importance of positive male role models, particularly for boys. They have identified a number of people of all ages and from all walks of life who 'champion' reading to others and the top 20 attended a celebratory event at Church House on Monday 4 December.

"Richard's name was put forward by Jo Ray, Librarian at Harrow Way School, and I commend the school for all they are doing to promote literacy and the enjoyment of good books. The older pupils read to children from the Infants School, and this has benefits for both."
Richard, who is 15, is preparing for his GCSE's. He won a book, £30 worth of book tokens, a certificate and a cap.
