Along with Tim Yeo, the Conservative Party Spokesman on Agriculture, Sir George joined the Countryside Alliance in Parliament Square - ahead of Wednesday's key votes.
"There is so much else we ought to be discussing about the countryside - the plight of farmers, the threat from overdevelopment, the closures of banks and Post Offices. The Hunting Bill is not central to these concerns and should not be jamming up the legislative programme."
