Sir George was at Bishopswood Junior School in Tadley, opening the new IT suite. With him are Chris Hall and Rebecca Bailey, pupils at the school, and Kate Webb from Hampshire County Council, who is attached to the school.
"I would like to thank those who have contributed towards the IT suite - these include: £2,400 from the Four Lanes Trust, £100 from Bishopswood Golf Club and much hard work and fund-raising on the part of the parents."

Sir George said “Understanding computers is like learning to drive. You need to know how to start the car, change gear, steer and brake. But to get the best out of your car, you have to be able to read maps, signposts and have a clear idea of where you want to go.
It’s the same with computers. Once you have learned the basics, you need to know what your destination is and how to get there. Otherwise you will get lost and waste a lot of time.”

After the opening, parents and staff were invited to tea and biscuits in the Library, where there were displays of work.
