The floods return to Penton, one of the low-lying villages outside Andover.

"Although it hasn't rained heavily, the land is so waterlogged that rain just lies on the surface. The problem will get worse later in the month, when the River Bourne traditionally rises and threatens the villages in the Bourne Valley."

Sir George is in touch with the Environment Agency and Hampshire County Council, urging both to work with each other and come up with a long-term strategy to improve the protection of houses in low-lying areas.
