A recital of chamber music by J S Bach held in St Martins Church, East Woodhay raised hundreds of pounds for Hampshire County Youth Orchestra, which is about to embark on a tour of Chile.
The recital was given by Jean Paterson, Baroque Violin, who organised the event; her husband Peter Harvey, baritone; Gary Cooper, Harpsichord and Charles Medlam, Cello.

From right to left in the picture are James Toll, Peter Harvey, William Harvey, Charles Scarr, Rosie Toll and Jean Paterson. Rosie is going on the tour, and the three boys are in the String Orchestra.

"This was a recital of the highest quality, which gave much enjoyment to those who came along. There is so much musical talent in North Hampshire and it is good to listen to it in a local church and raise money for a worthwhile local cause."
