Continuing his visit to King Arthurs Way Estate, Sir George looked in on Blenheim Hall and met Darren of D&D Sound (centre) and Maurice Sweeney, the leader of the Blenheim Hall Youth Club. Darren was setting up for a disco later in the evening.
"The Youth Club is getting its show on the road; it has a monthly newsletter -BHYC's newsletter -, and is shortly going to launch its own website. It provides a range of activities both at the hall and elsewhere - with a recent visit to Basingstoke's Ice Rink. A number of new workshops are also planned. Blenheim Hall is an important resource on the estate and it is good to see it being put to good use."
Sir George was accompanied on his tour by Cllr Pat West and Brenda Thomas, Chair of the Tenants Action Group.
