Sir George joins Jenny Stagg, from Goodworth Clatford, who helped the children at Wolverdene School draw a mural on a blank wall.
"The mural depicts the various classes in the school - Ladybirds, Dolphins etc - and it is the first thing you see when you arrive in the school. It livens up the entrance and has helped the children learn about art. Many congratulations to Jenny and her young team."
Sir George was shown round the school by the Head, Richard Ford and the Chairman of Governors.
"It struck me as a happy school, successfully enabling many children to re-enter mainstream schools. Given the difficult home life that many of the children experience, school provides them with stability and security - with the weekly boarders regarding staff almost as parents."
