Ecchinswell's Prize-Winning Choirs
22 Apr 1999
As a guest of Ecchinswell Primary School at St Lawrence Church on April 22nd Sir George joined staff, governors and parents, to hear the school's two choirs - Hazel Chorus and Watership Sound - led by their director, Rith Atkinson. Since their inaugural concert in the summer of 1998, the choirs have been busy with special services at St Lawrences for the Harvest Festival and Christmas. They have also sung at Rose Hudson Court in Kingsclere, and came second in the recent Basingstoke Festival of Music and the Arts.

"I greatly enjoyed the concert, which was a tremendous advertisement for the school" said Sir George.
