Sir George with the Khemkbat sisters in the newly refurbished kitchen at the Lamb, Winchester Street, Andover.
"The Lamb is already a first class pub; but with this new franchise of the kitchens, there is an even better reason for looking in. English beer and Thai food -what better way to end an evening in Andover."
Extract from Press Release from the Lamb
August is a very important month for the Lamb: on the 14th, Leonie Rickard celebrates the 40th anniversary of taking over the tenancy of the pub with her late husband, Cyril.
Even more important, on August 3rd the Khemkbat sisters, Mem & Pum begin their franchise of the extensively refitted kitchens. Whether to remind you of that holiday in Thailand or spark the enthusiasm to make the journey, the Thai Kitchen at the Lamb will be providing exotic lunches and dinners in the newly refurbished restaurant bar at sensible pub prices.
Thai food comprises a huge range of tastes and textures - and can range from very mild to very hot indeed. Both experienced Thai chefs, Mem & Pum will also provide a take-away service for customers of the Lamb. A perfect excuse for that crafty pint while waiting for the food.....
For those eating at the Lamb, the range of real ales and premium lagers will be supplemented by an expanded wine list.
There will be a number of special events scheduled, but the restaurant bar will usually be open to the public.
