Stephen O'Brien, MP for Eddisbury, joined Sir George in the Derbyshire village of Wirksworth to debate the Conservative Leadership contest. The meeting was chaired by the local MP, Patrick MacLoughlin. As Deputy Chief Whip, he has to remain neutral.

"This was another well-attended meeting - and it is clear that a large number of Party members have not yet voted. There was concern that the contest was going on too long, and that it was at times getting negative. But there was an appetite to learn more about the candidates and their policies and I hope Stephen and I were able to help people make up their minds."
