An auction held under the hammer of Martyn Lewis CBE raised over £12000 for the Abbotts Ann Village Shop Association.
Star attraction was a 1930 Series L Morris, donated by David Moulton and bought for £3500 by Steve Wilson. Lunch for 2 at the House of Commons with Sir George went for £480.

"Many congratulations to Tim Lowden, Steve and Rocky Gottlieb, Jackie Stanton and the rest of the team for raising so much money. The silent auction, with nearly 100 donated items, was a great success. Few villages would have been able to raise so much in one go - bringing the village shop a stage closer."
