Guest speaker at a lunch held by local Conservatives was MP for Tiverton, Angela Browning.
She came the day after she was asked by Iain Duncan Smith to head up a unit at Conservative Central Office to win back seats from Liberal Democrats.

Angela Browning has successfully fought up determined challenges from the Liberal Democrats to win her seat in Devon.

"The Liberal Democrats are not always wholly consistent. They may say and do one thing in the House of Commons; and another in the Lords. In the country, they may promote one policy in one area, and another in another. We will be keeping tabs on what they get up to and expose this hypocrisy."
Thanking Angela for her speech, Sir George said that there were three LibDem seats nearby and he and local Conservatives looked forward to working with her to win them back.
