St Paul's Church, Ashford Hill held a fete, and in view of the weather forecast moved it from Headley Common to the Church itself. "The organisers did well to cope with the weather, with much of the activity being inside the church, and the rest being outside but under cover. They did well to keep the dog show - a well subscribed event, and the atmosphere was provided by the Hannington Silver Band playing inside." All the proceeds go towards St Paul's church, a gothic church whose foundations were laid in 1844.
