Reading in the press I understand that you, Sir, are conducting an inquiry into MPs expenses.
I also understand that MPs are allowed to claim for household food! Surely household food and appliances should be paid for out of wages like the rest of us?

Thank you for your enquiry.
There is an ACA (Additional Costs Allowance) to reflect the additional costs of living away from home. One component of this is for food.
