This is a question about an previous Sir George who was involved in an 1876 case involving Eton boys swimming naked in the Thames and shocking a local lady landowner. She had them arrested and charged. Sir George formed the Cookham Bathing & Boating Society which funded the boy's successful defense in a case which became a national cause celebre. Do you have any idea where I can find more information on this case, a date would be helpful?
