Basingstoke amateur operatic society
The issue: I am writing on behalf of BASINGSTOKE AMATEUR OPERATIC SOCIETY

We are currently in rehearsals for our forthcoming show WS Gilbert and Arthur Sullivan's 'The Mikado'. This will be performed at The Haymarket Theatre Monday 21st - Saturday February 26th 2005 at the Haymarket Theatre Basingstoke. There is a matinee performance on the Saturday. Concessions are available and I am happy to discuss and offer group discounts. Our shows are suitable for all ages

We have been performing shows in Basingstoke since the early 1920's. Our shows are funded totally through ticket sales and membership contributions. We receive no sponsorship despite trying various major companies. I can send you our sponsorship document for you to read - Packages start from as little as £100.Perhaps you could help or know of anyone who would be interested in sponsoring us. Or perhaps you would be interested in purchasing an individual Vice presidents package. This cost £35 and includes two free tickets to our shows

All our advertising is through society members. Perhaps you can help us here. I
can let you have details of our current show.We also rely on people putting up posters and handbills in and around Basingstoke - would you consider taking some and placing around your ward or passing them on

Any support would be gratefully received as costs constantly rise - WE ARE A LOCAL SOCIETY! and we would like to continue performing to Basingstoke as we have been doing for the past 80 years but we need your support and the support from the local community to help us
