The Chairman of the Friends of St Mary's, Harold Thrower, welcomed guests to a Preview of the Art Exhibition, proceeds from which will help with the Church Restoration. "There was much local talent on display, not least from Harold's wife Gillian, whose painting of a cockerel was snapped up before I could buy it. The Church was pretty full - and this was just the preview. I am sure they will have a busy weekend and raise some useful funds for the Church."
